Fire / Storm / Earthquake Damage
Due to the experience and additional knowledge gained by staff through dealing with flood claims HB Jones (MIDLANDS) LIMITED have gained the skills needed to handle other historic events such as fire, earthquakes and storm damage.
After dealing with a large amount of claims on which other companies had to be sub-contracted to attend to complex specialist works HB Jones (MIDLANDS) LIMITED have built a good relationship with local companies who specialise in services such as damp proofing, specialist flooring, drying out techniques, qualified Corgi registered plumbers, roofing specialists, etc.
Having these connections makes life easier when it comes to dealing with fire/ storm/ earthquake claims as most cases will require more than one specialist and HB Jones (MIDLANDS) LIMITED take care of all aspects rather than having to ring round more than one company and arranging all the works individually.
Here is an example of the extent of a fire claim that we tendered for.
The images above show the surverioty of damage caused by fire. At this property the fire was caused by an electrical fault and started in the roof space, which spread rapidly destroying everything in its path. Therefore a temporary roof has been fitted to help keep what reamins of the property dry until works commence to make the relevant repairs.
This job will require full strip out of all woodwork, furnishings and kitchen appliances, followed by building examinations to check that all structural members are secure and undamaged. Once the main supports are secured the repair works would get under way on any damaged brickwork, floor joists, plastering and woodwork. Windows and doors would be replaced and new furnishings and appliances would be fitted on a like for like with the previous, dependant on insurance cover.
